Annual Bloomfield Day and AGM

Annual Robert Bloomfield Day, 9 May 2015

3rd Floor Mary Anne Evans Building
Clifton Campus, Nottingham Trent University

This year's Annual General Meeting of the Robert Bloomfield Society will take place on 9 May, and will be hosted by Nottingham Trent University. Please arrive at 10:30 a.m. (for an 11:00 start).

Professor John Goodridge of the Department of English at NTU, our co-founder, will be retiring this year and we wish to make this occasion a celebration of his work on Bloomfield and his support for the Society. Consequently there will be no main speaker, but there will be contributions from fellow academics and members of the Robert Bloomfield Society, accompanied by poetry and prose readings and colour slides of events charting the life of the Society.

Later, we shall hold our AGM, which will review the past year, present the accounts and provide members with an opportunity to air their views and offer much-needed suggestions for future activities.  We expect to conclude by 3:15 p.m. approximately.

Directions to Nottingham Trent University can be found by clicking on the following link.

Please note that anyone travelling by train, should get the Nottingham City Transport (NCT) Navy Line bus number 1, as the GO2 Uni 4 suggested on the University website does not run at the weekend. Timetables for NCT buses can be found here.
